What can kill a shape-shifter?

I know about silver for werewolves and a wooden stake for vampires. I am looking for other weak points for shape-shifters. I also know it is a different story for every paranormal universe. So I am just looking for the oldest folklore weakness known. The person I am developing for a story has the ability to change into a many animals not only a wolf.
