Going to college with high school sweetheart?

My high school boyfriend and I are going to the same college next fall on the same scholarship. We will be in a couple of the same classes and in the same dorm building. It's so great that I can be able to stay with him and not have to be alone during this big transition of my life! But I want to make sure we dont miss out on the college experience- I want us to be able to be independent and have our own fun and make our own new friends. What guidelines or steps can we take to make sure we each have our own separate experiences while still staying together?
