If a guy likes you will he forget you?(guys point of you)?

my bf and I broke up 3 weeks ago. We've been going out for 3 months and the relationship wasnt that bad, we just had to separate it has to do with the difficult instances. Now, I cant help but wonder if a guy likes someone will he just forget you? We both liked each other.
